WHEEL FINISHING ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN – EASTERN CAPE
The company is looking for an energetic, competent and motivated person to take up the Wheel Finishing Electrical Technician position. This position requires both electrical and mechanical skills in order to fulfill the duties.
Key Performance Areas
- Responsible for the Maintenance activities in the Machining, Wheel Finishing, Paint Plant and Final View, but not only restricted to one area alone. (Cross functioning)
- Responsible to avail your skills, knowledge and experience to the rest of the Machining, Wheel Finishing, Paint Plant, and Final View artisans including other production facility when called upon
- Required to stay on after hours until all production machines is in full production mode as required by the Production Manager of that area.
- In the absence of the Maintenance Superintendent of the area, you will be required to stand-in from time to time taking over all responsibilities.
- Liaise with Shift Co-Ordinator’s to assist on breakdowns and Preventative work.
- Part of your job responsibilities is to do standby on a rotational basis as required.
- GMR2 inspections and HSE requirements is your responsibility to adhere to all procedures, instructions and any other legislative requirements expected of you to perform your work to the required standard.
Qualifications
- Technical Qualified Artisan with relevant technical skills and tertiary qualification N4 technical studies advantageous or Studying towards QMS understanding
Work Experience
- Five (5) years wheel manufacturing experience in the Automation Environment
- Essential Experience: Fanuc and Siemens Controlled CNC Machines: Headstock knowledge on gibs and slides

- Computer literacy essential PC skills (Word, Excel, Email, MP2 and Haldan), problem solving techniques, leadership skills, communication skills, hand skills.

- Required to work overtime as and when required.
