UNIDATA ENGINEER (12 MONTHS) FTC – JOHANNESBURG – GAUTENG Fixed Term Contract

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to the Central System, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient resolution of problems
  • System Development: Design, develop, and maintain the Central System, leveraging knowledge of Unibase, Unidata, and the Pick operating system.
  • Azure Integration: Manage and optimize the system’s hosting environment in Azure, ensuring seamless operation on a custom fork of Redhat.
  • Legacy System Enhancement: Implement enhancements to the bespoke system, to improve performance and functionality.
  • Code Review and Quality Assurance: Conduct code reviews and implement quality assurance practices to maintain high standards of code quality and system reliability.

 

Qualifications:

  • Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Proven experience managing and leading a team of platform engineers.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and advanced cloud services.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide technical teams and collaborate with other stakeholders.
