RESPONSIBILITIES:
To manage and coordinate all the engineering activities as per assigned
section/plant and ensure that the legal responsibility as required by
statutory requirements are adhered to, which includes but not limited to:
• Engineering organizational structure
• Contractor management
• Manage engineering workshop facilities
• Support function
• Customer relationship management
• Budget management and control
• Optimization and investigations of engineering challenges
• Project management;
• Costing and capital
• Risk management and legal compliance
• Asset management
• Infrastructure maintenance
• Engineering processes and systems
• Strategic leadership and influence
• SHERQ adherence and compliance in own area of work
• Work Ethics
REQUIREMENTS:
(Essential unless otherwise indicated)
• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
• Government certificate of competence (Mines and Works) in
Engineering
• Post graduate qualification (MSc, MBA, MDP, Management or related
(Recommended)
• Qualification in middle management or equivalent
• Medically fit
• Driver’s license
• Minimum of 10 years operational Engineering (appointed Section Engineer)
and Production experience within a mining and plant environment
• Minimum of 5 years Project Management experience (Recommended
