GROUP DISTRIBUTION AND REVENUE MANAGER – CAPE TOWN – WESTERN CAPE Full Time

Description:

• Develop and implement revenue management strategies to optimize hotel occupancy and profitability across multiple properties.
• Monitor and analyse market trends, competitor pricing, and performance metrics to inform pricing strategies.
• Oversee the distribution of room inventory across various channels, including OTAs, GDS, and direct booking platforms.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and reservations teams to ensure consistent and competitive pricing.
• Manage and update the hotel group’s revenue management systems and tools.
• Conduct regular performance analysis, forecasting, and reporting to identify opportunities for revenue growth.
• Develop and maintain relationships with third-party partners, such as OTAs and distribution platforms.
• Implement and enforce best practices in yield management, rate parity, and distribution channel management.
• Lead training sessions for hotel staff on revenue management principles and tools.
• Prepare and present revenue performance reports to senior management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in revenue management, preferably within the hotel industry.
• Strong understanding of distribution channels, including OTAs, GDS, and direct booking platforms.
• Proficient in revenue management systems (e.g., Opera, SynXis, IDeaS).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various departments and partners.
• Proven ability to develop and implement successful revenue strategies.
• Knowledge of the Cape Town hotel market is an advantage.
