ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING SUPERINTENDENT – KATHU – NORTHERN CAPE Full Time

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
To ensure equipment availability, reliability and optimization of
electrical equipment (across sectional boundaries) at Parsons plant
through effective management of resources, to achieve and support
production targets in a safe manner, which includes but not limited to:
• Engineering operations
• Improvement optimization
• People management
• Contractor management
• Budget and cost control
• SHERQ
• Work Ethics

EXPERIENCE
(Essential unless otherwise indicated)
• Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience as a team/
project leader/ supervisor in mining or heavy industry
maintenance environment in plant and fleet
• Minimum of five (5) years operational experience in a mining or
heavy industry maintenance environment in plant and fleet as a
qualified artisan (Total of 8 years of experience)
• Equipment specific experience / exposure:
o MV Reticulation and Switching (Power Reticulation)
o Capacitor Banks and other Energy-saving Initiatives
o Diesel Generator and Back-Up Power Supplies
o Electrical Fault-finding and Protection
o Electrical building maintenance standards

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
(Essential unless otherwise indicated)
• Medically fit – Meet required medical fitness standards
• Driver’s license – Valid Code EB/B driver’s license
• Legal Appointment – 2.6.1 or 2.9.2 MHSA

QUALIFICATIONS
(Essential unless otherwise indicated)
• Engineering Technical Trade Test with a N4 Engineering certificate
• Planned Maintenance Management certificate ( NQF level 5)
• Supervisory Certificate/ ARM /equivalent (NQF level 4 – 150 Credits)
• MDP/ ARM Management / Leadership Equivalent certificate (NQF level 6)
