ENTERPRISE BUSINESS ARCHITECT (PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES) – WESTERN CAPE – CAPE TOWN

The client requires a Business Architect who is well versed with standard business rules and practices, who is competent to transform high level corporate business strategy into business operating and architecture models. Presents business cases and is able to initiate business modelling of capabilities and processes that will enable Santam to achieve its goals.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Build and facilitate a business operating model and architecture that leverages enterprise capabilities and efficient usage of processes act as custodian of the Business Architecture standards and best practise
  • Interprets business strategies, and develops conceptual future business models
  • Consider internal and external touchpoint and interfaces in order to design an end-to-end business operating model
  • Identifies and design integrations between businesses from a current as-is perspective to a future to-be model. This includes the transition and interim state
  • Facilitates the execution of the business architecture model components and capabilities
  • Identifies anomalies and facilitates efficient execution of the business operations
  • Uncovers valuable opportunities by performing comprehensive high-level scans of the factors influencing organizational design. Stays abreast of new concepts, trends and industry best practices
  • This position includes leadership, engagement at executive level with internal and external stakeholders
  • Participate and assist with project delivery and management of direct and indirect resources to deliver strategic initiatives and defined deliverables

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3-Year Degree. Honours recommended.
  • Minimum of 8 – 15 years’ experience analysing and implementing business improvements in the Insurance or Financial Services, with a specific focus on Business development and integration/migrations
  • Diploma in Business/Systems Analysis
  • Qualification in Agile advantageous
  • Experience with implementing large scale solutions

KNOWLEDGE

  • Knowledge / experience within the Short-Term Insurance industry (or in broader Financial Services industry) and regulatory framework
  • Solid understanding of the strategic issues facing the short-term insurance industry
  • Knowledge of industry models and standards such as IBM’s IAA & ACORD would be preferable
  • Familiar with development approaches such as Agile and RUP
